Year 2 and High Ability Year 2 Addition and Subtraction Activities

This is 2 resources. They are a selection of cards with addition and subtraction sums on them and their answers, which can be laminated. Children can use them in lots of different ways e.g.

use the sum card pages as mats, make a pile of answer cards, pick a card and match the answer card to the sum card on the mat

cut out all the cards, lay them all all out and match the answer card to the sum card

or play a game of snap.

Blank cards are provided if you want to make some cards yourself! A 100 square is included if a child struggles to calculate mentally.

The Year 2 activity is 15 pages long, and the High Ability Year 2 activity is 14 pages long.
